“Nutrition is not low-fat. It’s not low-calorie. It’s not being hungry and feeling deprived. It’s nourishing your body with real, whole foods so that you are consistently satisfied and energized to live life to the fullest. After all, isn’t that what life is about?”
What is Clean Eating?
Clean eating is consuming food in its most natural state, or as close to it as possible. It’s not a diet; it’s a lifestyle approach to food and its preparation, leading to an improved life – one meal at a time. Clean eating focuses on improving your health and well-being instead of weight loss. Although, weight loss is a direct result of clean eating.
Fresh Fruit & Veggies
Avoid canned or processed products – processing reduces the nutritional value and fiber content while adding salt, sugar and chemicals.
Stick to organic or grass fed meats when possible to avoid hormones, pesticide, steroids, MSG, dyes, antibiotics etc.
Swap white rice, pasta & bread for brown rice, quinoa, whole wheat pasta and breads.
Good Fat is great
Avoid fast food, and focus on removing saturated fat from your diet. Instead consume healthy omega-3 fats in nuts and fish like salmon.
