Happy Foodie Fridays! I’ve decided it’s time to bring back #FoodieFridays so here we go! What better way to get back into it than with a delicious homemade pizza!
For the Dough
✓ 2.5 cups flour (i did half-half whole wheat & all-purpose)
✓ 1/2 tsp. sea salt
✓ 1 TBSP baking powder
✓ 3TBSP olive oil
✓ Pinch of Oregano
✓ Pinch of Basil
✓ 1 Cup water
For the Pizza
✓ 1 Can Pizza sauce of your choice
✓ Shredded cheese
✓ Meat or no meat, totally up to you!
✓ Veggies – used: Onions, orange peppers, pineapple
1. In a large bowl, mix together, flour, salt, baking powder, oregano, and basil.
2. When the dry ingredients are well mixed, add in the olive oil. Gradually add in the water. STIRRING CONSTANTLY. When dough like texture starts to form, sprinkle a small amount of all purpose flour over the mixture. Cover your hands with more flour and begin to knead the dough until everything is well mixed and you have a round ball of dough.
3. Flatten the dough into a large non-stick pizza pan. Roll the edges of the dough to form a thick crust.
4. Add your toppings.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
