It’s time for another Workout Tips Wednesday post! I know that I say this a lot but I can’t believe how fast the weeks pass. Having said this, if you have been following this blog and you haven’t started to change your lifestyle just yet, get started!! The weeks are passing and you could be making great progress. Remember the time passes whether you’re putting in the work or not and you can either be uncomfortable 24 hours a day or 1 hour a day, it’s your choice and you alone make that call. Without wasting any more of your time i’m going to get started with my tips!
1. Listen to your body –Yes, it’s important to get your workouts in, but it’s just as important to listen to your body and hear it out. Some weeks I want to get 5 workouts in and I only end up doing 4 because I was too sore or tired to do 5 and that’s completely fine! You want to give your body and your muscles the proper rest it requires in order to help progress in your journey.
2. Clothing – I’m a big believer in “change into your workout clothing, even if you don’t feel like working out you’ll be more likely to do it than if you stay in your regular clothing.” For me, personally, this works like a charm. There are mornings or evenings that I just can’t be bothered to workout so I put my workout clothes on and keep doing what i’m doing and then I catch myself in my workout room get it done! Have you tried this before? Let me know in the comments!
3. Progress pictures- This tip is one that you should not skip. Our brains work in mysterious ways and it is often very difficult to see our own progress. I would suggest taking a progress picture around the same time every month, wearing the same clothing and in the same place. This way when you are feeling less than motivated or you feel like you are making zero progress you can look back on the first picture that you took and you can see the progress and feel so very proud of yourself! Also when you see the progress it’s a great way to keep you motivated!
Below is a picture of my progress. There is approximately 10 months difference between these two pictures. If I wouldn’t have taken that picture 10 monthts ago I would have no idea how much progress I made during this time.
That is all the tips I have for you this week! If you have any questions or need help during the week please get in touch with me at any of the links below, I am more than happy to listen and help guide you through your journey!
