Can you believe that it’s September already? Summer has come and gone, now what? My mom posted this quote to her Facebook page and I thought that there was a lot of truth within it, so I want to share it with you.
“As the summer ends and the weather turns, it’s a good time to re-focus on your goals. Even if you are no longer in school, the beginning of the school year often triggers an ingrained instinct to buckle down and get to work.”
I Think that this rings true for a lot of people. As you send your kids to school or head to work in the beginning of September you can feel a sense of renewal. The weather is getting a little crisper, the leaves are changing colors and you? You are still fighting for you goals! There are 4 whole months left of 2014, let’s make them the best months of this year! This is a time to take a step back and refocus your energy to right places. It’s time to look over your workout and meal plans and start planning according to your goals.
If you can’t seem to find the motivation that you need to workout, I’m going to attempt to share tips that may help get you back into your workout grove!
“80 percent of success is showing up.” – Woody Allen
1. How you feel after the workout: Sure you may not feel like working out now, but think about how you’ll feel once you’re done! Like a Million Bucks!
2. Visualize what you’re going to look like: This helps me A LOT, especially when I’m running. I tend to struggle a little bit with running so if I visualize how I wish to look like it helps keep me going throughout my runs.
3. Success Stories: Look up other peoples weight loss success stories. When I see other peoples successes it motivates me to get out there and chase my dreams. Because if someone else can do it, so can I!
4. Sign up for a 5K race: Oh what’s that, you can’t run? That’s fine because everyone with 2 legs can learn how to run. If you sign yourself up and pay money to run in the race, chances are that’ll be enough motivation to get you training, because the last person you want to let down is yourself. You don’t need to tell anyone about this, just do it to prove to yourself that you can do it.
